Education & background
Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Dr. Mohandesi earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from American University in Washington, DC. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with Honors in Clinical Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania, where she developed a strong focus on implant dentistry.
She completed a three-year residency in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where she served as Chief Resident and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry. Her research centered on 3D printing and calibration software, reflecting her passion for digital innovation in dental care.
Dr. Mohandesi began her career in academia, serving as the Director of the DMD Advanced Prosthodontics Clinic at the University of Louisville. In this role, she focused on digital workflows and implant dentistry, while mentoring the next generation of dental professionals.
Home life & giving back
When she’s not transforming smiles in the clinic, Dr. Mohandesi enjoys an active home life with her husband, Adam, their son, Kiyan, and their dog, Bo. The family loves hiking and spending time outdoors together.
